Health & Safety and other Regulations

Q. What about cleanliness and safety?

A. We keep Beautiful Log Cottage clean, well maintained, and guest-ready for every stay. Before each arrival, the cottage is thoroughly cleaned. Beds are made with fresh linens, and fresh towels are set out for your stay. High-touch surfaces such as door handles, switches, remotes, and counters receive extra attention. Soaps and basic cleaning supplies are available for your use. During your stay, we ask guests to leave the cottage reasonably tidy, follow the check-out notes in the binder, and let us know right away if anything needs attention. We follow current public health guidance and will contact you promptly if any requirements change that affect your reservation.

A. Yes. We ask all guests to respect and follow applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and bylaws during their stay. This may include fishing licence and catch rules, boating, lifejacket, and operator requirements, fire bans and outdoor burning restrictions, and local noise, parking, and other municipal bylaws. Rules can vary by season and location, so if you plan to fish, boat, or have a fire, please check current requirements first. We are always glad to help direct you to the right information.

Q. Can we smoke?
A. No. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage or anywhere on the property. Evidence of smoking will result in forfeiture of the security deposit.

Always supervise outdoor fires, keep them small and manageable, ensure the fire is fully out before leaving it, and never use the fire pit during a fire ban.

Q. Can we have fireworks?
A. No. For safety reasons and out of respect for the surrounding wildlife, fireworks are not permitted at any time.

Q. What if we have other questions?
